Holy crap! It's my birthday!
I think I've exhausted all of my birthday stories--except for maybe telling you about how when I was seven my birthday fell on the same Sunday that I made my first Holy Communion (Catholic, sue me) and the amount of loot I got? UNBELIEVABLE. I still remember this gorgeous purple and pink satin parrot that someone gave me. It was a ceiling hanging...it dangled from various light fixtures until I was about 15. That thing represented shiny, sleek, strokeable softness and glamour to me. I can see it perfectly in my mind's eye.
But other than that, I think this year instead of focusing on the past, we'll pay a nod to how sweet the present is. I'm 32 (but Facebook tells me my actual age is 27--I'll take it), engaged to my dearest friend and love, gainfully employed, healthy, surrounded by loving family and friends, and a mere 2 months from finishing what I swear on my life is my last graduate school experience. No, seriously Nathaniel. For rill.
Not a bad tally, huh?

Found while looking for some clipart to spice up a PowerPoint presentation for school. This made my day.
